The book, QBQ! The Question Behind the Question by John G. Miller promotes a worldview that is in general more positive and proactive compared to the worldview of most people.
Speaking from experience, a lot of teens and preteens tend to, unintentionally, see the world through a negative scope. Why can’t this just happen the way I want it to? Why won’t my group do anything to help with this class project? Why won’t they just hurry up?
This book promotes the perspective that to make the crummy situation that you’re stuck in better, those negative questions that you’re asking yourselves need to be flipped around. Rather than asking a question like “Why won’t they listen to me?”, Miller suggested asking the question, “What’s a different way I can word this instead of repeating myself?”
